My Name Is

This one time I got in a fight with myself
It started about 30 years ago
I’ve been losing the fight ever since
Just when I thought I had the upper hand on myself
I slipped away
I finally put a knockout blow to what was someone I called Beau
I stand in a ring of 17 other fighters that I see
who are fighting the same fight
I cheer for all of them to overcome the fight within
Because it’s an amazing win
Now I can finally say with pride
My name is Beau.
