If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under 13, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. We do not specifically market to children under 13.

Fair Information Practices

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.

In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:

We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

CAN SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

We collect your email address in order to:

  • Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
  • Process orders and to send information and updates pertaining to orders.
  • We may also send you additional information related to your product and/or service.
  • Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred.

To be in accordance with CANSPAM we agree to the following:

  • NOT use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
  • Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.
  • Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters.
  • Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
  • Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.
  • Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email.

How do we use and disclose protected health information about an individual?

7th Street Treatment will disclose any medical or identifying information about a participant in our programs unless:

  1. The participant consents in writing
  2. The disclosure is allowed by a court order; or
  3. The disclosure is made to medical personnel 
  4. The disclosure to a qualified person for research, audit or program evaluation; or
  5. The disclosure is made to protect self or others or a crime has been committed; or
  6. The disclosure in the event of threats of harm to self or others (Duty To Warn).

Participants in our programs maintain the right to inspect, copy, change, or remove their protected health information upon request. 7th Street Treatment may take up to 30 days to process and comply with said request.

Information is only used as is reasonably necessary to process your application or to provide you with health or counseling services which may require communication between 7th Street Treatment and health care providers, medical product or service providers, pharmacies, insurance companies, and other providers necessary to verify your medical information is accurate and determine the type of medical supplies or health care services you need. This is including, but not limited to, or to obtain or purchase any type of medical supplies, devices, medications, or insurance.

If you apply or attempt to apply to receive assistance through us and provide information with the intent or purpose of fraud or that results in either an actual crime of fraud for any reason including willful or un-willful acts of negligence whether intended or not, or in any way demonstrates or indicates attempted fraud, your non-medical information can be given to legal authorities including police, investigators, courts, and/or attorneys or other legal professionals, as well as any other information as permitted by law.

Federal Law and Regulations:

The confidentiality of alcohol and drug abuse participant records maintained by this program is protected by Federal law and regulations. Violation of the Federal law and regulations by a program is a crime.  Suspected violation may be reported appropriate authorities in accordance with Federal regulations.  Federal law and regulations do not protect any information about a crime committed by participant either at the program or against any person who works for the program or about any threat to commit such a crime.

Federal laws and regulations do not protect any information about elderly abuse, suspected child abuse or neglect, threats to harm to self or others from being protected. These may be released under State law to appropriate State or local authorities beyond Federal CFR42-Regulations.
