A stack of children’s books. 6 boxes of chalk. 4 teams.
A group of 13 adults stands in the backyard, not so sure about this…
folded inward, hands in pockets and skeptical
flipping through the pages of cartoons, curiosity ignites.
a slight chatter is heard and imaginations flare
“Yeah! Let’s draw that one! We could do that!”
They crawl around like children, getting dirty, swapping ideas
agreeing on who colors which section, scribbling in unison
2 hours later fingertips are stained pink, orange and blue
Standing back hands on hips chests wide open
Teams overlapped as those who were finished filled in the gaps for those still working
In the end the accomplishment was equal
Four teams became one
